Who are you most inspired by?

I know it sounds corny, but I am inspired by everything around me. My subject matter is light and the play of light on objects. As a result, anything lit by any kind of light can inspire me.

What do you want to most convey in your work?

I want to convey the sculptural quality of objects as revealed by the highlights and shadows created by light falling on them. By depicting this quality, I hope the viewer sees a nuance that they may not have noticed previously when looking at a similar object because people move so fast today that they don’t stop and take time to appreciate the immense beauty in the world.

In 2005-2007 while attending UW-Parkside she was the Illustrator for the university newspaper “The Ranger News”. During her time there she also won a design competition to redesign the university’s radio station logo. Tim Burton and Charlie Chaplin. They are both Creative Geniuses.

Hmmm I am not sure to be honest…. I do however, want people to enjoy what they see, I want people to feel good from observing my work.

Who are you most inspired by?

Spoken word artists (almost anyone), Nikki Giovanni, Shel Silverstein, Dr. Seuss, most bizarre modern art, so many things inspire me…its hard to name them.

What do you want to most convey in your work?

Emotion, I’m all about bringing out people’s character either my own or adapting a persona or character to bring to life, trying to get people to feel something when they read or listen to my writing.
