716 is an organization that promotes contemporary visual, literary and performance art in Southeastern Wisconsin. This is accomplished through direct sales, promotion, publication and community-based programs geared toward appreciating the value of art. 716 facilitates networking opportunities among artists and other members of the community in order to highlight creativity as a driving force for social, economic and personal growth.
As a growing asset to the community, 716 provides an array of programming that includes:
- a fine art gallery featuring paintings, photography and sculpture
- regular, month-long solo exhibitions and national juried shows;
- weekly open mic nights that garner between 25 and 125 people in attendance;
- monthly acoustic performances by local musicians; and
- a growing network of podcasts and other web-based projects created by and for the arts community.
