A triad of Kenosha graphic designers are presenting a graphic design group show in Racine’s bustling downtown at the newly opened 716: Fine Art. Featuring single print original designs, the show will display the works of Emiko Shekem, David Geisler and Bryce Ulmer. Stylistically, the designers vary, but they share the common bond of working in a mixed media of computer-driven layout and hand-created elements.

Immediately identifiable with the number three, “TRi” features a double meaning in its a verbal form. New to the world of fine art, each designer is trying to establish a strong personal style, and the show’s name is derived from that effort.

Shekem stated, “With no direction other than my own imagination, this show has been a wonderful and much-needed opportunity to get back in touch with my own personal style”

Likewise, Ulmer, a graphic design major at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wis., said “The show TRi offers a unique chance for me to spread my wings as a designer without the binding ties of an institution.”

The exhibit runs from Feb. 14 through March 6. The opening reception is Friday, Feb. 15 from 6-9 p.m.
